HISTORY OF SCORFINA/NICKESON

SCORFINA/NICKESON is composed of two people: Steve Scorfina and myself, Tom Nickeson. We started playing together in 1973, when I joined Pavlov’s Dog, a band that Steve was already a member of.  We went on to tour and the band released two more discs for Columbia Records. (“At The Sound of the Bell”, and “Has Anyone Here Seen Siegfried?”)  After PD broke up, we joined Gulliver, a band based out of Los Angeles. Many years and many different bands since, we are still friends working together on musical projects.

   This latest release, WAG, was originally begun in 1996. We recorded “Strength” and “Resolution of the Heart” before we both got too busy to finish any other songs. Eleven years later, after I moved into my new recording space (my house), we decided it was finally time to finish the project we started so long ago.
